LIMERICK

About Me

The two songwriters in Limerick, Limerick Kaye and Matt Gaudry have been playing music and writing songs together for the last 10 years. Robby Long and Chaz Webb have been playing in Limerick for the past three or so years. Based in Newcastle, Limerick has just released it's Debut Cd "Lick" & plans are already underway for the second. Limerick sometimes performs as a duo with just piano and vocals, just for the fun of it, or because the other lads are off doing their own thing. Sometimes Limerick just gets up and sings acapella. Mostly however, the full band comes along and joins in the fun. Limerick's music is mostly jazz and blues influenced melodically. Stylistically the music is much more varied in influence. Gypsy jazz, regae, rock, electronica, the odd torch ballad singer, caberet, atmospheric filmy type stuff...it's all peeping through the cracks. Above all the combination of Limerick's voice and lyrics is realy something unique. Her mode of expression always surprises and delights the ear. Enjoy!!
