About Me
The Unmerciful Sonz first conveined in the winter of 2005. Bringing to the table their own aspects and variances in their delivery and approach to lyricism, Saint, Chuck Diesel, and Jakus were able to turn out quality and thought provoking tracks. All hailing from the New England area (Boston, New Haven), the Sonz had a sense of the hardship and importance of tough love and street life. Coming together in Ohio, the Sonz have since had the ability to grow as a group and collaborative effort. Along with have created many of their own beats and producing their own music, the Sonz upheld the means of street credit, tearing up local venues and reigning supreme with their lyrical delivery and humorous but mind boggling metaphorical concepts. With their past and personal experience as their motivation and means of writing, the Sonz push to convey a message reaching the hearts of their listeners on a personal level, moving to provoke emotion and thought. Shying away from the commercial thoughts and motivations of numerous commercial hip hop artists, The sonz move to bring hip hop back to its roots, where truth and the real are conveyed over a beat as a means of expression and release.
Now having joined the Sonz are Rocky G of Toledo and C-Wade of Pittsburgh. With such a diverse yet unified group, the Sonz had the ability to woe crowds and work the microphone with an essence and sense of pure genius. All supporting and holding their own unique approach in the booth, the collaborative effort of the group held a product that could only be conceived as raw talent and a sense of difference in home town representation. And with a local following having allowed the Sonz to book gigs and shows, their exposure began to grow as time passed, providing the exposure necessary to potentially break free from the unknown underground scene. With all members having come up with their own hardships and coping with life’s obstacles, the ultimate fate has come to rest with each member joining in Ohio only to form the next collaborative hip-hop entourage shock the world. YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS!!!The Sonz have various collaborations with various artists, however, the most common is Son of Sin. About Son of sin, "he's gonna be goin big sumwhere soon, thats mah boy right there, he got shit undah control. i love spittin with the dude, he brings out the best of my abilities. he's got some decisive and mind-provokin lyrics, he's my mentor, im his apprentice, once the lineage thru, aint no one gonna follow us. haha."-Saint. Looking to continue their collaborative approach to music, the Sonz continue to invite people to collaborate with them.
Feelings about music"You know, we in rap cuz we got a love for hip-hop. She (hip-hop) is just somethin we need, wit the taste of true love, but we nevah ask for nothin from her otha than a shot. music is one of the only things that makes sense to me cuz you can embody everything you feel, love, hate, or desire into a song, put it over a beat, and tell a story. its fuckin incredible, and i cant get enough of it. i cant wait til i do sumthin wit this so i can show my world to everyone thru my words and thoughts, put to a beat, explainin tru life, ways n codes of da streets. Hip-hop is just the embodiment of everything, I cant leave it alone"
