CityLife began in 2005 as a collaboration between Michael Marabella (Guitar) and Eduardo Calmon (Percussion). While beginning to write songs, the band searched for new members, eventually recruiting Dana Miller (Vocals/Keyboards) and Jake Devirgiliis (Bass) in the summer of 2006. That following September, CityLife played their first show at the Swedesford Chase annual picnic. In the years following, CityLife played numerous shows around West Chester, PA, including at both Henderson and West Chester East High School, where the members attended. In 2007 the band released their first EP Welcome to CityLife. While continuing to write music, the band began to develop a style of their own. In early 2008, they got together to record a few songs at Creep Records. These songs would eventually end up on their first album. It wasn't until more than a year later, however, that they were able to return to the studio to finish up the album. Now, with all 4 band members graduated and leaving for college, this album is a final accomplishment for the band, closing a 4 year legacy. But it can be assured, the world has not seen the last of CityLife.
