DJ Naydees Bio:
The year was 1989 and the location was Jumel Club NYC. The DJ scratches and cuts in The Bridge is over by KRS ONE and sends the crowd into a frenzy with a roar and intensity thats just about at riot status. The place is buzzing and everyone is asking Whos the DJ? You try looking up at the DJ booth but all you see is a little head covered by headphones bopping to the beat, immersed in crates of records and DJ equipment. That was Naydee at Twelve years old. A young urban electronic virtuoso if you may. But it didnt begin there. It began when he was nine years old under the tutelage of his mentor Steve Mussenden (who took Naydee under his wing like a big brother) along with the modest beginnings of what is now known as Dy-Nas-D Productions, then just a patchwork of DJs and entrepreneurs, making their way doing events and playing clubs in New York.
Born to Dominican parents here
in the United States, Naydee commonly found himself at the crossroads of his two
cultures as well as various states mainly New York and Connecticut. Merging all
these elements undoubtedly influenced his music as well as his mind in being open
to working with different people, celebrating their differences of culture thru
music. This skill has served as one of the hallmarks of Dy-Nas-D studios, his own
enterprise which has been his foundation since leaving the security of his high
paying computer job at MTV Networks. While he honed his computer skills at
Viacom he worked tirelessly toward the financing and building of his own studio,
never taking his eye off the proverbial prize of being able to pursue music exclusively
someday. Someday has come and gone bringing with it a wealth of experience and opportunity
in the music industry such as; remixes for popular acts like Boyz to Men, Rosie
Gaines, Le Clic, over 40 theme songs for MTV, and VH1 and a soundtrack
for a movie titled Home Invaders to be released in the near future. To go along
with these credentials, all along his musical journey, Naydee has continued to produce
his own music to the tune of about 300 tracks (some of which have been released
on various indie labels) in various arenas of music including but not limited to
Hip Hop, House, Pop, Reggae and World Music. He has honed his craft and is now looking
to take his talent and vision to the next level, his own indie, Infinity Records.
