About Me

Oh boy. About me? Where to begin? Abandoned by wolves and raised by my parents... they put me to work when I was ten years old and now I'm kinda tired. My parents thought I should pay for my own braces, so they exploited my untainted desire to create music and art and forced me into show biz. I did a few commercials, off off Broadway, and a few extra roles in movies; my teeth are as straight as piano keys, god bless 'em! So my formative years were spent in the Big Apple. Dance lessons. Singing lessons. Auditions. Roller skating in Washington Heights and going to PS. 187. Playing PacMan in midtown arcades when we moved to West 60th Street. Attending Professional Children's School and watching OTHER kids get more famous! Dressin' up for midnights at Rocky Horror Picture Show in the Village. Seeing Eraserhead by David Lynch when I was 10! European vacations and an occasional limo ride! It was real excitin'! When I turned 14 I did what most over-exposed youth do, I rebelled, I bleached my hair and became a little punk! My parents moved me around a lot, being the gypsy/artist types that we were/are. New York to San Francisco to LA, back to New York, New Jersey and then to Philadelphia. Good god! Yet somehow we ended up back in my place of birth, good old Michigan. zzzzzzzzzz. I've been trying to recapture the glamorous days of my youth ever since... I was lead singer in an all girl rock band, The Motor Dolls. We won BEST ROCK BAND in Detroit one year in the 90's. My father is an amazing artist. He is well known for his rock posters that he did in the 70's. My mother is his manager and a real estate mogal! I've created clothing from crap and stuff, like tye dye on vintage slips. Most recently I've owned two boutiques, one called Dolly Rockers (after a Syd Barrett song) Interesting fact...I was actually born on the very DAY and YEAR he recorded the song, and found this out after I named the store! I sold the shop after five years in business and opened Unicorn Couture, which I recently closed because of our horrible economy in MI. I try to help people understand that they can look hot on the cheap! You can now find the same cool and inexpenive vintage at my new ebay store, just click the tiny link below! Or, if you live in MI, I've just opened my THIRD boutique called Garment District! This awesome shop sells new and vintage clothing and accessories, we also have art shows/partys! I'm also a personal stylist so bands, models etc...please feel free to contact me for those services as well.
