Dj Geo-D

Angelo del Carmen aka Dj Geo-D grew up most of his life in the Bay Area where he rendered his interest in djing/turntablism as well as becoming an active participant in community politics/outreach. Starting out with a 70 dollar bargain mixer and two technics 1200, Dj Geo-d started creating mixtapes during 8th grade and also began rising up the ranks within the local bay area nightlife. Eventually, Geo-D would meet up with two well known djs in the bay area, Dj Guzie (Rock-it Scientists/Wild 949) and Dj Pone (Dmc Finals, The Transplants). Both djs become his mentors in turntablism and crowd rocking galore. With a great emphasis on turntablist techniques as well as musical knowledge, Geo-D’s mixes combine hip hop essentials with the insatiable appetite of the party scene. Currently Dj Geo-D studies political science with a lingering minor in Film Studies at the University of California, Irvine.
