we leave our tables empty, our mouths full of sand
why must this land of plenty supply nothing but demand?

every day
this desire is beautiful
but misaligned
our spirit starves
as we oversatiate
the insatiable mind...
just because you cannot buy what is free
doesn't mean you have to chain yourself to slavery!
just because you cannot own what is loaned
doesn't mean you cannot know the bonds of home!
the universal moan...
breathing in each breath
electrified from eye to eye
the identity we seek
only reflects
when we identify...
so what will fill us up, what sets us free?
we have to drink the cup, though there is no guarantee
the only way to navigate this disordered sea
is to plant your compass firmly at the root of mystery.
