About Me

i love my family and friends. i like books (especially teacher books and harry potter), music (especially indie/alternative rock), movies (especially classics - anything hitchcock, hepburn (audrey or katharine), cary grant, jimmy stewart, doris day, henry fonda, etc), and television (especially crime shows or comedies like friends, that 70's show, and scrubs). i also love to travel. i have a heart for europe, and i have been to romania, malta, poland, and a short day trip to london (yes, it counts). recently, however, africa has been on my heart, and i would love to go to uganda. it is my goal to travel to a new country ever year. i am a senior at evangel university getting my bachelor's degree in early childhood education and elementary education. i am strongly considering pursuing a master's degree in applied behavior analysis so i can work with children with autism and behavior disorders. i have recently discovered that i am much more at ease if i stop caring what people think about me...you should all try it sometime. i guess that about sums me up. if you have questions, just ask.♥ Katie's Layouts ♥ ♥ Katie's Layouts ♥

My Interests

family, friends, teaching, autism, music, laughing, sleeping, traveling, being sarcastic, shopping, makeup, looking at the stars, playing in the snow, recently added interest - karate (not that i'm good), watching ufc...

I'd like to meet:

well, my dad wants me to meet my husband, but i'm pretty content right now. so nobody, i guess.

Music:

rock of any kind (except screaming): hard, metal, classic, glam, punk, alternative, indie (check facebook for a more in-depth list); others: Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ray Charles, Etta James, Gavin DeGraw, Norah Jones

Movies:

80's movies and anything old, from suspense to musicals; I especially heart movies from Hollywood's Golden Age: 1930-1960.

Television:

I watch way too much tv. I like crime dramas and witty comedies; i also like classics - I Love Lucy, Soap, Laverne and Shirley, Happy Days, The Jeffersons, Cheers, etc. (if you haven't seen Soap, please do so)

Books:

children's books, teacher books (classroom management, teaching strategies, creative ideas, curriculum manuals, etc), harry potter, mystery and suspense books, some poetry

Heroes:

my sister. she turned a difficult situation into a chance to grow and mature and has since become an amazing woman of god to whom I can look up and from whom I can learn a lot. also caden - he's awesome.
