About Me

The boys in Mojo Possum take influence from many styles of music, but they set themselves apart from other young bands in one key way: they can actually play different styles. Some have studied jazz in college, and they have ALL enjoyed a true blue education by playing in the hill country blues scene of North Mississippi. The band has enjoyed many great experiences so far, including playing at the North Mississippi Hill Country Picnic (Potts Camp, MS). At the festival, they helped Kenny Brown teach people from all over the US to play the hill country blues. During this time, MP backed up Duwayne Burnside and David Kimbrough at many Mid-south shows. Recently, the band hit the studio for the first time, recording at the legendary Ardent Studios. In the live scene, Mojo Possum plays regularly at Automatic Slim's Tonga Club, as well as many other prestigious Memphis-area venues. In the future, Mojo Possum looks forward to traveling more, carrying the raw gutsy sound of the South wherever they go.Electronic Press kitwww.sonicbids.com/mojopossumMojo Possum MIDSOUTH FAIR VIDEO!!!! http://media2.sonicbids.com/EPK/Assets/video.wmv?file_id={1B B9D9AF-F550-4ED6-8F6C-2AD407AD8144}&extension=WMV&bi trate=384K
