So I had a great idea to write some catchy, cute little paragraph to describe myself...You can all laugh now! :) See, I wanted to revise my whole 'profile about me' section' because it's finally hit me that I've went through some way drastic changes in my life recently and I don't want to not stand out anymore.
Okay, okay, where do I start? Let's start easy...because aren't I? Ha. I'm Jenna Alami! I'm 18 and I am from [unfortunately?] the wonderful Indiana town of Washington and since I'm not rich nor Catholic, I attended WHS for four [not so] glorious years where I did my share of hell raising. Now that highschool is offically over, I'm starting much bigger and better things. Hold on to your seats people, it isn't a surprise that I have huge plans for my future. Mark my words, right here, right now, I'm going to make something big of myself. I'm in love with the idea of traveling the world and majoring in and pursuing a career in the wonderful world of fashion and textiles merchandizing and communications and marketing. Actually, that's what I'm be doing right now. I'm kicking ass at ISU. It's not uncommon for you to spot me with my face in the latest fashion magazine or hunting down the hottest new lip plumper on the market. Haha, as martialistic as that may sound, I'm a slave to the whole beauty/fashion aspect of life even though I may not look it. I love being a girl. God, how I love makeup, skin/hair care products, lip gloss, stilettos, and super push-up bras. As much as I want to pretend and make you and myself believe that I'm a girly girl, that's not entirely the truth. I LOVE watching football, basketball, and baseball. ESPN has to be one of the most watched channels on my TV I swear (the style network and E! of course the the tops ones) I love western movies, but horror movies are my favorite definitely. I LOVE METAL! Actually I just love music altogether. Ever since I was little, one positive thing my parents did do was surround me with music--everything from glam rock to acid rock to classical to jazz and blues to heavy metal and techno. I'm in love with music, seriously. I'm constantly looking up new bands, trying to track down hidden/deleted/new tracks, and downloading. It's crazy. I also LOVE getting down and dirty too! I'm into alot of outdoor activities and I'll always up for anything. I have an odd lovin' for the strange and unusual. I'm so into horror movies, I LOVE Captain Marvel, X-Men, IRON MAN, and Dr. Strange comics and machine guns.
Meeting new people and connecting with different cultures, for me, is what I totally live for. I loove, love, lovvee talking to new people and making new friends so don't be scared to try to get a hold of me--I'd be more than thrilled to talk to you!
I'm unlike anyone you will ever meet in your life. For years and years, I grew up, paralyzed, fearing others would see my "freaky-ness"...until one day I realized it's good to be different. It's something very scary, but something so very important at the same time; individuality. I definitely scare people off, so so far you're doing good. :)
I'm a very simple person with many complex, imaginative ideas. I think of the most hilarious, witty things to say 5 minutes after. I love change and making old things new again. I love to be different and I want to be a head-turner. I truely value intelligence and I think that's the best quality to have. I'm very strange and I'll totally into the weirdest things, but I'd definitly have it no other way. I know I'm not gorgeous or sexy or beautiful or pretty or cute and I'm used to never getting the guy. But I get it, it's cool, I am who I am and I'll never change!
As I'm sure everyone knows, I'm Arab American and although I don't know much about my heritage, I love it and embrace it. There's not one day that I don't wake up and am not happy...after I think about all the lovely, amazing, awesome things I have in my life. I'm so freaking lucky! Of course, I have the BEST FRIENDS EVER! PERIOD! I know everyone says it and it's so cliché, but I really do have the most amazing group of people in my life. Oh, and my family? Don't even get me started! I have a huge, very diverse family. It's a huge melting pot under one roof at my house. My family is seriously the craziest group of people you will ever meet but I wouldn't change it for the world. We've all been through a whole hell of alot together and I think it's made us stronger. I love the person I am because of it. I'm a very out-there, crazy, potty mouthed outspoken person because of them, but yet still passionate and hard working too. I've learned to be VERY open-minded and I can look at all sides of an issue from my parents. And as you can tell by all my dorky pictures with my little sister, Rachel I have all over my myspace, I'm so close to my sister and I love her with all my heart and as much as a loser I am, she's one of my best friends. AND MY OLDER BROTHER?! OMG! How I love him sooo! This guy is hands down the most amazing guy in the world! I love people like him, that can be real and open and honest and address real issues. I love people that make differences in the in world and I will one day, if I haven't yet already. SO EAT YOUR HEART OUT BABY!
