They say the sum of the whole is greater than the parts, or something to that effect... and it's true - however I created THE LOG COLLECTIVE in part because of the re-release of land of giants Cannibal Dolls/Seven Men, and in part because I had started making music again. I was a founding member of the group (land of giants) who wrote and recorded those songs between 1982 and 1985 and over the years I have written and recorded songs on my own and with other amazing musicians. This is a space to highlight some of those compositions.
These are some of my more recent work - they are still works in progress, demo versions if you wish, and I hope that over time there will be updated versions as the songs evolve with the participation of some friends new and old and the talent they bring.
For those of you wondering why I have called it THE LOG COLLECTIVE , well, (a pause and a smile)... let's just say it's a David Lynch-ian thing... people who are familiar with both my sense of humour and my paintings will understand. Besides I liked it...
