Mimmo Raoul Serratore vive a Roma. Sin da piccolo le sue più grandi passioni sono la musica, la recitazione e la scrittura. Una tentazione forte quest'ultima, tanto che suo padre di proposito poggiava sulla sua scrivania un foglio bianco e una penna per osservare di nascosto quanti minuti avrebbe resistito a calmare la sua voglia irrefrenabile di scrivere. Ad oggi possiede nove diari che spaziano dalla poesia alla prosa e ai piccoli pensieri confusi... Su palcoscenici di legno e di cartone improvvisa scene di compagnie teatrali e di improbabili gruppi musicali. Gli unici spettatori delle "baby performance" sono le anziane signore sue vicine di casa... Una scopa diventa una spada per rappresentare il paladino della giustizia e, in un secondo momento, diviene chitarra, per essere il protagonista assoluto di una rock band!  
I genitori si accorgono della forte passione per la musica e decidono di farlo iscrivere a lezioni di teoria musicale e di solfeggio. Inizia dapprima con un maestro di clarinetto che, dopo poche settimane, abbandona perché, tra gli strumenti a fiato, predilige solo il suono del sax... Un altro maestro si propone di impartire musica in modo veloce ma, imponendogli di studiare trombone, e per giunta con la chiave di basso, decide di lasciare e di trovare lui stesso un insegnante che finalmente possa accontentare i suoi gusti. Dopo averlo trovato si accorge, anche stavolta, che le lezioni erano diventate ai suoi occhi soltanto delle noiosissime ore di teorie matematiche... e, come se non bastasse, la confusione per aver cambiato, da un maestro all'altro, ripetuti chiavi di lettura, lo portano per sempre a lasciare questo tipo di studio troppo "accademico" per il suo carattere...  
A 16 anni parte per Londra e, con ancora i solfeggi, le figure, le chiavi e i pentagrammi in testa, riceve in regalo la sua prima chitarra. Lo strumento che gli cambierà la vita... Incomincia subito ad imparare i primi accordi e scopre che, ogni qualvolta mette le mani sulle corde, crea sempre nuove composizioni fino ad arrivare, col passare degli anni, a comporre, inaspettatamente, 157 brani. Nello stesso periodo cominciano le prime opportunità per esibirsi sul palco dal vivo. Non più nel silenzio della sua stanza o con gli amici attorno ad un falò, col suo primo gruppo musicale, i "Flashback", inizia a vivere le sue piccole esperienze live. Da lì a poco viene chiamato da un'organizzazione di spettacoli che aveva contatti in Svizzera per far parte di un nuova compagnia; "Gli amici della musica", con i quali, tra canto e danza, si esibirà ogni estate, per tre anni consecutivi nella città di Zurigo. E' ai tempi delle tournée elvetiche che risale l'incisione del suo primo cd da interprete.
 L'anno dopo si iscrive all'Università "La Sapienza" nella Facoltà di Sociologia. Nel campo della musica, si avvale dei preziosi consigli del Maestro FRANCO MIGLIACCI, il quale lo porterà a migliorare la sua struttura compositiva musicale. Ma, i suoi impegni universitari e il timore di perdere per qualche anno la borsa di studio lo allontanano dal mondo dell'arte e dello spettacolo. Inaspettatamente, però, durante il periodo della lavorazione della tesi di laurea, entra a far parte del cast del film "Gangs of New York", del regista MARTIN SCORSESE nel ruolo di stuntman, rimandando, così, di otto mesi, la discussione della sua tesi. La partecipazione al Colossal americano rappresenta ancora oggi   la più bella e la più dura esperienza cinematografica mai vissuta finora. Parteciperà in seguito a diversi films e pubblicità televisive sia come attore che come stuntman e figurante speciale.
Ritrova così anche il Teatro con rappresentazioni come, "Edda Gabler" di Henrik Ibsen, nel ruolo del giudice Brack. Allo stesso tempo frequenta diversi laboratori di improvvisazione e ha la fortuna di seguire il corso di "Il teatro spontaneo delle emozioni" del grande maestro FERRUCCIO DI CORI (docente di psichiatria all'Harvard University di Boston e alla State University di New York, inventore di un test di proiezione premiato dall' Eastern Psichiatric Research Assotiation e autore di numerose raccolte di poesie testi teatrali e consulenze all'Actor studios di New York diretto da Shelley Winters).
 Dopo la Laurea e dopo una parentesi come assistente universitario per la Cattedra di Diritto Pubblico dell'Economia, insegna comunicazione per delle società private e, in contemporanea, è anche consulente per Istituti di Ricerca di Mercato e Ricerca Sociale. Collabora per tre mesi all'anno con una Cooperativa Sociale in qualità di animatore didattico portando i bambini delle scuole elementari e medie a gite d'istruzione in Italia e all'estero.
 Da artista e da sociologo ama gli spettacoli che hanno il connubio tra arte e aspetto sociale. Infatti, ultimamente ha partecipato, con un intervento, alla rassegna teatrale "Il teatro è Vita" che, oltre a promuovere la cultura del teatro (in collaborazione con il Circuito teatrale italiano diretto da Pippo Franco), sensibilizza l'opinione pubblica sul tema della "donazione degli organi" (in collaborazione con l'Aido, l'Atec e Dipartimento "Cultura e donazione degli Organi" della Proitalia). Nel mese scorso, al Teatro Tendastrisce di Roma, si è esibito come cantautore, insieme a volti noti e non della musica italiana, per lo spettacolo "Una guida per i miei occhi"; campagna di sensibilizzazione per la scuola di addestramento cani guida per i non vedenti, (con il Patrocinio del Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali, e della provincia di Roma). Fra giorni sarà a Firenze per una manifestazione musicale e culturale (patrocinata dal Comune di Firenze e dalla Unicoop Firenze in collaborazione con il Centro Culturale italio-brasiliano Jorge Amado e Terra di Masaccio) dove il ricavato della serata sarà devoluto a Emergency.
 Un sogno nel cassetto: Partire come volontario per un programma di interventi umanitari per cercare di aiutare gli orfani in Zambia, Kenya e Tanzania, cercando di inserirli e di farli vivere all'interno di una famiglia, che viene aiutata sia materialmente che psicologicamente.

Mimmo Raoul Serratore lives in Rome. Since he was small his greatest passions were music, acting and writing. The last of these was a strong temptation, so much so that his father used to place a blank sheet and a pen on the desk and then hide and observe how many minutes he would have endured before giving in to his irrepressible urge to write. At the moment he possesses nine diaries which contain poetry and prose and small confused thoughts… On wooden or cardboard stages he improvises scenes of theatrical companies and improbable musical groups. The only spectators of the “baby performances” are old people, their neighbours… A broom becomes a sword to represent the champion of justice and, within a moment, becomes a guitar, to become the absolute star in a rock band!
His parents become aware of his strong passion for music and decide to enrol him in musical theory and solfeggio lessons. These begin with a clarinet teacher who, after a few weeks, he abandons because of all the wind instruments, he prefers only the sound of the sax… Another teacher proposes to teach music rapidly but, forcing him to study the trombone, in addition with the base key, he decides to leave and to find for himself an instructor who can finally satisfy his tastes. After having found him he realizes that also this time the lessons had become, in his eyes, merely very boring hours of mathematical theory… and, as if that wasn’t enough, the confusion of having changed, from one teacher to another, repeated lecture keys, bring him to permanently leave this type of study which was too “academic” for his character…
At the age of 16 he leaves for London and, still with solfeggi, figures, keys and pentagrams in his head, he is given his first guitar. The instrument which would change his life… He begins to learn the first chords immediately and discovers that, every time he puts his hands on the chords, he always creates new compositions up to the point, with the passing of the years, of composing, unexpectedly, 157 pieces. In the same period the first chances begin to present themselves of playing live on stage. No longer in the silence of his room or with friends around a bonfire, with is first musical group, “Flashback”, he begins to live his small live experiences. From that point, before long he is called by an organization that dealt with shows that had contacts in Switzerland to take part in a new company; “The Friends of Music”, with which, with song and dance, would perform every summer, for three years consecutively in the city of Zurich. And at the time of the Swiss tours the incision of their first cd takes place.
The year after he enrols in “La Sapienza” University in the Faculty of Sociology. In the field of music, he avails himself of precious advice from the teacher FRANCO MIGLIACCI, who would help him improve his musical composition structure. But, his university commitments and the fear of losing a year’s scholarship distance him from the world of art and performance. However, unexpectedly, during the period of working on his graduate thesis, he becomes part of the cast of the film “Gangs of New York”, directed by MARTIN SCORSESE in the role of stuntman, postponing, in this way, for eight months, his thesis.
The participation in American Colossal represents even today the most beautiful and the hardest cinematographic experience up until now. What was to follow would be the participation in various films and TV commercials as actor, stuntman and special figure. He refinds also the Theatre with representations like “Edda Gabler” By Henrik Ibsen, in the role of Judge Brack. At the same time he frequents various improvisation laboratories and has the fortune to follow the course “The Spontaneous Theatre of Emotions” by the grand master FERRUCCIO DI CORI (psychiatric professor at the Harvard University in Boston and The State University of New York, inventor of a projection test rewarded by the Eastern Psychiatric Research Association and author of numerous collections of poetry and theatrical texts and consultant to the Actor studios in New York directed by Shelley Winters).
After graduation and after a period as university assistant for the Pofessorship of Public Law of the Economy, he teaches communication for private societies at the same time and also consultant for Market Research and Social Research Institutes. He collaborates for three months every year with a Social Co-operative as didactic animator bringing the children from primary and secondary schools on instructive visits in Italy and abroad.
From the viewpoint of artist and sociologist he loves spectacles that combine art and social aspect. In fact, most recently he participated in the theatrical exhibition (in collaboration with The Italian Circuit Theatre directed by Pippo Franco), making public opinion aware of the theme of “donation of organs” (in collaboration with the Aido, the Atec and the “Culture” department And donations of Organs by Proitalia). In the last month, in the Tendastrice Theatre in Rome, he performed as singer songwriter together with famous and not so famous faces of Italian music for the spectacle “A Guide For My Eyes”; a campaign for raising awareness for the school for training guide dogs for the blind, (with the support of the Ministry of Goods and Cultural Activities, And of the Province of Rome). Within days he will be in Florence for a musical and cultural show (supported by the Florence Council and the Unicoop Florence In collaboration with the Italo-Brazilian Jorge Amado and Terra di Masaccio Cultural Centre) Where the proceeds of the evening will go to Emergency.
A dream in the drawer: To leave as a volunteer worker for a programme of humanitarian operations to try to help orphans in Zambia, Kenya and Tanzania, trying to introduce them to and live as part of a family, that will be helped both materially and psychologically. "
