Born and raised in the Last Frontier, I am definitely an Alaskan at heart. Unfortunately, I am also the world’s biggest pansy when it comes to cold weather, so I keep moving south and east trying to thaw out. After somehow spending 8 years in the Midwest (as odd as it seems, I LOVED Evansville, IN), I moved to the beach and am having fun in Wilmington, NC. Still adjusting to the novelty of an ocean you can swim in and not get hypothermia. Still trying to break my addiction to summer work for the AK Dept. of Fish & Game (which is quite possibly the most kick-@$$ job in the world). In the last year work has sent me to Singapore, Mexico City, Montreal, the U.K., Belize, Ecuador and twice to each Korea and Taiwan, which have been some really cool experiences. I also have the world’s most adorable nephew, Gunnar, who is only slightly spoiled by his Aunt Kara.
