About Me

Married and divorced twice. No kids (as far as I know...). Smoker and very -very- occasional social drinker. Play the guitar (badly), harmonica (very badly), the piano (only just). All by ear... no reading sheet music.. Also write some songs (very simple, in fact very childish).Work in the music business. Love reading about the music business. Love playing basket ball, tennis and table tennis. Like driving on open roads. Love the sun and the (not too cold) sea. Love Africa, New York, The Seychelles, Rome, Boston, San Francisco, the island of Limnos. Smoke (have cut down to 15-17 a day). Like coffee. Love junk food but appreciate fine cuisine. Always on a diet. Hate the rain. Dislike (unecessarily) loud people. Hate being ill or injured. Cry easily when exposed to brilliant or brilliantly "crafted" -not necessarilly sentimental- art (music, film, lyrics, performances, prose, quotes). Also when exposed to expressions of unselfish human kindness. Like staying at home. Admire intelligence (sometimes envious of it). Admire wit (always envious of it). Admire sense of humour (try to steal ideas and remember jokes...). Can't stand unfairness. Get pissed off when people cut corners, not only with "the law", but with any form of social behaviour; get absolutely livid when they subsequently get away with it.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Songwriters, composers, lyricists, bands and musicians who, preferrably, reside and perform in Greece. I want to hear sounds and songs that are really new, different and brilliant. Stuff that can truly make a difference... But it has to be brilliant... Really. We have heard enough of "the same"...

Bob Lefsetz on John Mellencamp

Reading Mellencamp on the music business is like listening to Fred Silverman or another legendary network programmer lamenting the advent of cable, which decimated dominant television shows from the b...

The Future (Bob Lefsetz)
