Alexandra Jade Vreeland is a vocalist and songwriter from New York City
currently based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born into a musical family, Alexandra began singing, playing piano and
songwriting at a young age. In high school, she played many leading roles
in community theater and performed at numerous local sporting events.
At the age of 16, she was awarded the Sony BMG World of Expression Scholarship
for an original composition. Having been classically trained in piano and vocal performance, Alexandra also received the Elsie Bennett Endowment Fund
Scholarship for exceptional talent in voice and thereafter sang with the Staten
Island Symphony.
In 2005 Alexandra began attending Berklee College of Music on scholarship. There
she has become a consistently in demand songwriter and vocalist for student producer/engineer projects. After auditioning for pop/rock band Cactus Rebelde, she
was instantly accepted and soon performed with them at such prestigious Boston
venues as The Paradise Rock Club and The Avalon. They competed successfully in the Emergenza Music Festival and were later invited to perform at the Festival of
the Arts in Valencia, Venezuela.
Alexandra has currently finished her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Berklee and is writing/recording her EP, to be released in 2009.
