She's is my heart, my soul, my everything, and when I'm away there's only one thing that makes me feel better and that is my friends, and music. I really LOVE Five Finger Death Punch for SOO MANY different reasons. Like for one I can relate with EVERY song in some fashion. The guys are just super awesome and down to Earth people, and you just don't get the chance to know your favorite band so that makes them EXTRA special to me. I've met and talked with Ivan the most. It seems like we have a lot of things in common like CRAZY ex girlfriends. Back brfore there was FFDP I remember just going on day to day doind any and all drugs put in front of me, but with the birth of my daughter everything has changed, Now FFDP is my "PERFECT DISEASE" I could go throught the whole album "The way of the fist" and tell you how each song relates to me and how I identify with the music, but I won't waste your time and bore you. As my EX and I were going through our separation is when I discovered FFDP one of my good friends took me to Mayhem and told me it doesn't matter what happens today as long as we see FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH. At the time I wasn't expecting it to be as impactful as it was. As I was standing in the crowd listening to the drums roar, the Guitars wail, and Ivan infuse the crowd with energy did EVERYTHING fall away and I found a moment of clarity during this tumoltious time of my life. It was during their song "The Bleeding" that just took me back into my own private world where it was just me and the band. The lyrics that stuck with me were "I'm better off without you, and you're better off wothout me" really hit a nerve and I realized at that precise moment that I DIDN'T need her to be happy !!! All I need is my daughter and friends whom genuinly care about who I am. The funny thing is I never in a million years would expect that there were countless others out there feeling the exact same way as me at that point in time, and that's what made us Knuckleheads. Not the brutallity of more so the vulnerability of Ivan's lyrics masked by bone crushing music !!! So I took it and ran turning my pain into something useful ANGER thus I related with "Meet the Monster" also directed at the hell bitch that will remain nameless.
