A Mixtape Of Mistakes is a concept run and supervised by the Mexican label Ala Jazz Records dedicated to be a space for upcoming names and projects whose biggest ambition in life is to live & breath the love of music, growing in every step and reinventing their with every note they play.
Tell Me More, I'm Excited:
We will be listening to every project submitted and give them a space here. The luckier artists might be appearing on the site or become an active artist on Ala Jazz Records' roster.
What The Fuck Is Ala Jazz Records?
For those not familiar with Ala Jazz Records, here is a little explanation: a Mexican label dedicated to eclectic sounds and "not-expected" releases. That being said; don't be shy to submit your demo of harsh noise or metal doom idm post punk from Norway: we love and support all kinds of music. Don't befooled by the design of this MySpace either, we want you to send us whatever you want.
Demo Submission Rules:
In Ala Jazz Records we are always aware and caring about any submissions that are sent to our inbox. We listen, see and read everything we receive. We are also aware of the huge platform that is MySpace in these fast and modern days. Please, if you want to be heard by us choose one of these two methods: 1): Send us a email with one or two or three or four or more (!) of your songs to: [email protected] . This will be the fastest way we can listen to your submission, as we check our inbox every day 2): If you'd rather be lazy and just leave a comment saying "Hey! I really like this, check out my music, please!", rest assured we will listen to the music on your MySpace page, but also be aware and warned that this might not be as easy, comfortable and fast as the first choice for us.
And Then?:
If we really really really like your demo, expect one or more (not always all and sometimes none) of these situations: 1): A message asking your permission to upload one of your songs into our profile 2): A message asking you for more songs 3): A message asking you for a full release that will be uploaded to Ala Jazz Records (!). If we don't really really really like your demo, we will find the most nice and kind words to explain why we don't like it. In that case you can always laugh or throw shit at us. And it can become a fun story if you, some time in the future, got signed by a major label, winning millions of dollars and reported how Ala Jazz Records is a retarded label. In any case, we are glad you are you.
