60. gados apmēram 500 metri no Rīgas robežas tika izveidots VALSTS SPECIALIZETAIS KONSTRUKTORU BIROJS [V.S.K.B.], kas nodarbojās ar zinātniski pētniecisko darbu, jaunu iekārtu konstruēšanu un izmēģināšanu. Paralēli izmēģinājumu korpusu būvniecībai tika celti arī dzīvojamie nami.
VSKB dzīvoja pārsvarā tikai darba kolēģi, kas tobrīd strādāja lielā uzņēmumā ar vairākām nodaļām, cehiem utt.Tā bija kā viena liela ģimene. 90. gadu vidū birojs tika slēgts. VSKB ir vieta, kuras vairs nav.
...mēs esam konstruktoru korpusu bērni, palikuši bez mājām, tagad rasējam atmiņu līnijas analogajās frekvencēs...

Specialized Design Office of the State
In the 1960'ies near soviet Riga there was made a Specialized Design Office of the State or S.D.O.S., in latvian - V.S.K.B., which was pointed to research work as well as design and test of the new equipment produced for agriculture and agronomy. Besides the construction of the experimental and trial blocks of the design office, there were built living building corps for employees and that made a new neighbourhood 500 metres from the border of Riga called V.S.K.B. The most of residents of the V.S.K.B. were from the same work collective of the mega company with several departments and workshops. That was like one big family... In the 1990'ies the design office was closed. V.S.K.B. is the place non existing any more.
....we are the kids of the design office corps, left without home, and now drawing memory lines in analog frequencies ....
