Mainland of Venice. Almost fifteen years ago. A young boy started to play a small, ridicoulos, unpowerful keyboard. First, he tried to play his favourite artists songs... "it's too hard" he tought, "it's better if I try to invent something of mine". He created some of the worst songs composed in the whole world ever... but he (and only he) liked them and kept on trying. His favourite artists were the classic pop and rock stars, such as Beatles, Queen, Rolling stones, George Michael (almost since his debut) and many others. He already was (but now more than ever) absolutely possessed by music, and kept on composing other piano songs, that are nowadays about fifty. So, those years are gone and he stopped to play and compose because of new incumbent targets in life, such as new friends, a new job, a family ecc... but he didn't lose his passion for music. He explored new genres, discovering jazz, bossanova styles, folk, country, disco, soul, soundtracks, and even classical music. He likes to say that his influences go from Chopin to Metallica. About two years ago, some of his colleagues started to play in a cover band and Gippi tried to play with them, but many years were passed and he wasn't able to give them a simple basic support... but his composing attitude has been now waked up. His friends band lost some members and others came in becoming "The Fence band", playing its own songs and no more covers. Now Gippi is finding out his old chords and compositions and started to work on them, with the support of some semi-pro singers friends of his, that is for example Maurizio De Rossi for the song "Dreaming in black and white" (who is also the author of the lyrics). Other tracks are now on working and will be added soon. Hope you enjoy them.
