The Brian Jordan Trio’s sound can best be described as a highly energized blend of funk, rock, jazz, and electronica.Each of the musicians in this exciting group has extensive touring history, vast personal accomplishments and national and international notoriety.Brian Jordan is best known for his work as guitarist for Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe. In addition Brian performs regularly with, art rock band Banyan, and has toured with Grammy award winning singer Lauryn Hill. Most recently Brian performed a series of shows being featured with Particle and has joined up with On the One for several shows also as a featured guest guitarist. Jordan has performed all over the world and shared the stage with many of musics top luminaries such as the legendary James Brown, The Allman Brothers Band and many more. Jordan shows a unique style and complete command of his guitar with TBJT. He also is the groups singer, offering up his soulful voice to several of the groups songs.Bassist Andy Irvine, best known for his driving funky grooves and song writing skills, rounds out the line up. Andy is a touring member of the outstanding San Diego based funk/soul group On the One. Irvine’s history also includes national touring with such groups as Giant People and founding the south Florida "futuristic groove trio" Beanstalk. Andy has contributed his solid bass work to 29 albums with national and international artists throughout his 25 year career. Irvine has been very busy lately logging on 250+ shows touring throughout the United States since joining up with On the One in May of 2007.Drummer Dave Watts is the founding member and leader of the highly respected and ever evolving Boulder, Colorado based progressive improv group The Motet. The Motet has recently been performing throughout the south east and made a memorable appearance on this years Jam Cruise. Dave has been a long standing figure on the national touring scene and is considered by many to be one of the top drummers. Watts is very active in education and has contributed his teaching skills to Modern Drummer Magazine.
