Lead The Way

About Me

..
This is a campaign to gain public support for a Bill that’s currently being tabled in the NSW parliament. It’s called the Animals (Regulation of Sale) Bill, and was created by Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP. It’s a complicated issue, but here it is in a nutshell:
The Bill aims to ban the sale of cats and dogs in pet shops. The problem is that these animals are kept in a shop window, 24 hours a day, and inevitably develop social problems. What’s more, many pet shops source their pets (either directly or indirectly) from Puppy Farms – a cruel industry where puppies are bred like battery hens!
The Bill simply means that cats and dogs will be sold through registered breeders and pounds, affording them a better chance in life. There are more than 60,000 unnecessary deaths every year in NSW alone because of impulse buying and puppy farming – it’s insane, and it has to stop.
We’re asking for your support
It will take two minutes and make all the difference.
