Hybrid Productions

H-Productions was founded 1986 in Stockholm by Cari Lekebusch. Anything but ordinary, derived from several origins blended toghether in a natural way. The first Hybrid releases were Electro inspired techno-like beats, sadly sparse due to lack of currency. Around 1992 the label started a proper vinyl 12 inch output with the help of Glenn Wilson and Planet Rhythm Records, and a few years later the label was accepted on the international electronic underground scene with its uncompromising cutting edge dance-music sounds. Some of the highlights in the Hybrid catalogue have been played by the most respected international DJ..s. During the 90..s Cari Lekebusch..s “Mad poet”, “Reverted EP” and “Vet dom som för att" LP to name a few, helped to put the Swedish electronic music scene on the international map. Many different international DJs and producers (Sweden, Germany, Finland, USA, UK) have honoured Hybrid Prod with some extraordinary productions. Besides Cari Lekebusch, there have been outputs from Danijel Alpha, Adam Beyer, Alexi Delano, Jean-Louis Huhta, Joel Mull, Robert Leiner, Jesper Dahlback aka Lenk, Gene Hunt, DJ Skull, Akilah Bryant, DJ Naughty, Abi Bah, David Roiseux, Aaron Phiri, 0-1-11, YIM, Jori Hulkkonen, Freddie Fresh, Ellery Cowles, D-Chi, G-Tech, Abstract Soul, DJ Hyperactive, Lion Dub, GraGee, Mighty Thor. During the 00's Hybrid Productions is adjusting to the new climate of the music industry by rebooting the engines with a new distribution formula and is now also a graphic design venture.
