I did teach high school special ed..until the dreaded Budget Cut came through and slew my job. Then, the husband graduated with his Masters, and we ended up moving to rural Alaska to teach school. He teaches 5th grade, I teach all grades. There are no roads, no cars, and 600 Native Alaskans.
My mother thinks I have lost my mind.
Found out when we got up here that I was pregnant, which was both hysterical and terrifying. THERE IS NO DOCTOR HERE. However, I've mostly gotten over the hysteria, and am just amused.
My father's first reaction? "I TOLD you not to do that!"
The kid was born April 23, 2007, and for various reasons is usually referred to as Voldemort.
We named him Griffin, but you know, calling him The Dark Lord is much more fun.
Im originally from Georgia, lived in Kentucky for a little bit, went to college in South Carolina, ended up meeting the husband in Colorado, moved to a fishing village on the ass end of nowhere, Alaska, and am in negotiations with the husband to move back South. Its a complicated thing.
I like cooking, theater, reading, web surfing, television/movie addictions, art, dancing, and general insanity.
