Field Trip

About Me

Field Trip is an outdoor concert series in Boston and its environs, bringing you high quality acoustic music in odd and beautiful places throughout the city. Every other saturday in the summer at two pm, we will all meet at a set location where the first band will play a 30 minute set, and then, as a group, we'll all walk to each of the other three bands sets. Everything is acoustic and carefully placed to blend the music in with the natural environment, rather than attempt to create a still, artificial one. In addition, the public placement allows people who would never hear about house shows to stumble upon the music and enjoy it.
We will have all the documenting taken care of, photos, audio, video, so we ask that you simply relax and give yourself to the experience of sitting in the sun (fingers crossed) and listening to the muisic, of being completely in the moment. We even ask that you turn off your cell phones if you don't mind. Not because we think they'll interfere with the show, but rather because they'll interfere with your enjoyment of it. Of course, you're free to do what you want, but the world will be waiting two hours later when the show is over.
The sixth and final Field Trip of 2008 is scheduled for 4 PM on August 16th, featuring The Earth People Orchestra, Dan Blakeslee, The Accident That Led Me To The World, Nmperign, and Baba Yaga. We will be meeting once again at the Green St T Stop, on the Orange line. See the top friends or band members section for linky links. Can't wait to see you there!
Field Trip is funded by the economic stimulus tax refund. thank you george w bush.
