Magnificent is one of the words that can be used to describe him, crazy is what some people might say.His journey around the globe and into history begins on a cold March in the year 1988. Born on the tiny island of Las Palmas, Grand Canaria, Spanish territory just off the shores of Mauritania, his proud African parents named him Abdoulaye (pronounced Abdula) Diallo.Most of his childhood is spent in his mother’s country, the former French colony of Guinea-Conakry. He attends Renaissance elementary school, where he learns basic French and is taught the basis of his religion, Islam. In 1995 however, his father, who is of Mauritanian and Senegalese origin, moves to the United States in pursuit of happiness for his big family. A year later Diallo and his family follow to Memphis TN.The new life in American, and hard on the young Diallo. The endless name-calling and laughter of his peers make him not like attending school. Nevertheless, he manages to focus on his education and joins the Chess team of Oakhaven Elementary school. “Playing chess gave me hope of traveling, getting scholarships, a green card and ultimately the American nationality” the King says. And he might just have gotten that, being the best player on the team. However, a major deception awaits young Diallo. In despite of the promises made, Diallo’s chess teacher decides to part ways and get his doctors degree at Purdue university.In high school, Diallo is still left without a green card. “That meant I was not capable of working like the others. In order to make my money, I had no choice but to sell illegal products, mostly marijuana and copied cds... It made me rather popular and got me several girlfriends... But I still managed to graduate with Honors. My Wooddale high school honors diploma is something that I cherish and I owe it to my father’s support. Thanks to him, dropping out was not an option.”As a high school graduate, Diallo starts studying airplane mechanics at Tennessee Technology center. However, the school offered Diallo no challenges and the young man realizes this is not his true calling. “I’ve always liked playing around with words,” he says, “So, although I had just 9 months left to complete, I decided to rearrange my life and become a professional writer.”At this point his lucrative activities gets him in trouble. “I did a couple of months in jail due to not having a drivers license, criminal simulation for selling shoes, and a couple gun charges. After that I knew there was no way I could ever become a U.S. citizen. The jail time opened up my eyes, If anything I love my freedom. So I decided to move back to Africa, as did my mom.”Once there, Diallo meets Shart Fi Know, the reggae artist and Pablo, the amazing blind producer. With them, Diallo frequents the studio and gets his first songs out for everyone to hear. Doing so, Diallo only gets more determined, knowing that he possesses incredible writing skills.“I don’t care what people think, I am deciding to keep it realer then all. I don't want to be known as that African nigga that can rap, I want to be known as one the best that ever picked up a writing utensil. So I’m making my name to be know as one of the best lyricist in the game.”Now living in the heart of Europe, King Diallo is building his way."Making every move my best move, and keeping my time precious".
