About Me

My name is William Adama and I am the Admiral of the 12 Colonies last two Battlestars: The Galactica and the Pegasus. It all started on the colony of Caprica 62 years ago. I couldnt wait to get to space so I began my career as a Viper Pilot during the first Cylon War. After the war I had to leave the fleet and found myself working on a commercial freighter where I met my closest friend Saul Tigh. Through a lot of hard work and some family connections I got Saul and myself back into the Fleet. Saul and I built our careers in the Fleet and I eventually became Commander of the Galactica and appointed Saul as my XO. I was all set to retire when the Cylons, after years of exile, attacked and wiped out human civilization. Now the Galactica, Pegasus and a ragtag fleet of ships and refugees are fleeing destruction and searching for our new home called Earth. On a lighter note, I look and sound really stern/depressed but I'm definitely a real fun loving guy, once you get to know me. I love noodles, an occasional drink, fist fighting with my son, and keeping my XO off the bottle. Although the whole end of the human race deal gets everyone down from time to time, my job is still pretty sweet. I get to brawl with robots that look like humans, see exotic planets, travel to new locations throughout the galaxy, meet interesting and exciting people everyday and face unforeseen challenges such as water shortages, espionage, murder and the occasional all out space battle...not too shabby huh? Dont get me wrong the jobs not all drinking, fist fighting and space battles, no sir! Theres things like finding out your favorite officer contributed to your sons death, and although a good source of exercise, bashing a Cylon to death with a flashlight really stops and makes you think. Oh yeah, theres also that whole thing about being shot in the chest by your rookie pilot, who was actually a Cylon the whole time but no one really stopped to notice. Then your son betrays your best friend, whos like family, so that he and the President/Prophet can turn on you and split the fleet in half. All this while your not only barley clinging to life from your gun shot wounds but having to breath second hand smoke from your own doctor. But I pulled through and put the family back together. And just when things seemed like they were getting better, we had to deal with Helena Cain and the Battlestar Pegasus. Suffice to say Admiral Cain was murdered by her own Cylon prisoner and the Pegasus is now under the Command of my son. Since then crazy, Cylon loving Dr. Baltar, was elected President. He settled the fleet on a barely livable barren planet, hidden inside of a nebula, now called New Caprica. After one year of peace, the Clyons found us and came in force. With half our ships dismantled on the planet surface I ordered the Galactica, Pegasus and the remainder of the Fleet to jump away. After all this one thing is certainThe new world is over....the fight is just beginning.
