About Me

(JUST IN CASE THE NEW MYSPACE MUSIC PLAYER KEEPS FUCKING UP)
MY DEBUT PERFORMANCE OCT. 17, 2008 (Boise, ID):
NEXT SHOW: NOV. 21, 10 PM @ THE E-CLUB.
Not that it matters, but I am a proud transsexual girl who is not interested in boys. Just wanted to let all of you guys know BEFORE you fall in love with me. Now that I got my medical status and sexual orientation out of the way, my whole life I've been moving towards becoming the person that I am right now, - someone who can impact people's lives in a positive way. I remember when I was 10 years old I told myself that my goal in life was to bring happiness to others. Now that I'm older and wiser, I hope I can accomplish that goal through my music.
I am TRANSCENDENCE OF LIMITATIONS. I am ERADICATION OF LABELS. I am DEFIANCE OF NORMS. I am THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX. I am MUSIC.
"VICTORIA GRAND, also known as the ELECTRONIC EMPRESS OF SUBURBIA, incarnated in southern Siberia. She came to the U.S. at the age of 12 and found her new home in the ghettos of Detroit. Her style is a mixture of clever lyrics, old-school synths, street-smart drums, and catchy melodies. Victoria's mission is to help rid the world of its negative labels and stereotypes. She believes that there is a Light within each and every one of us waiting to be unveiled. She also knows that it was her strong personality and her love of music that helped her withstand all the trials and tribulations that life put her through. She has overcome many obstacles, ranging from depression to spending 7 years in prison. She always wins because she never stops believing in herself."
I was born in the grasslands of Central Asia. I was the first child and I was lonely. People didn’t seem to understand me, but all I wanted was to be friends with everyone around me. It didn’t happen. My family flew to America when I was 12. We landed in the ghettos of Detroit. Life was OK. That same year, I bought my black Fender guitar on 8 Mile. No, I didn’t see Eminem. I played it to escape my loneliness. My next toy was an old Yamaha music computer. I got rid of it because it didn’t let me make beats. I was into Bob Dylan, David Bowie, and Queen. I also liked the Talking Heads, King Crimson, and other obscure stuff. I skipped school for a year-and-a-half. So much for 9th grade and half of 10th! Kids were ruthless, so I chose to hide in my shell. When I was 16, my family moved to the City of Trees in the “Famous Potato” state. It was quiet, peaceful, and much smaller than Detroit. I finished high school and went off to college. I thought partying was more fun, so I dropped out. I found pleasure in drinking alcohol, chasing chicks, and acting like a bad-ass. It was short lived. The year everyone thought the world would end (1999), I went to prison. It wasn’t too bad. I just played my music and made lots of friends. Unfortunately, I was kicked out after 7 years. They said sorry, no more free food and shelter. It was a fresh start, and I was a changed person. I started my hormone pills in 2007. In 2008, I had my orchiectomy. The world around me became very clear, and now I like what I see in the mirror. My music studio is in my bedroom. It is simple, and that is how I like everything to be. I tweak the knobs until everything falls in place, - like a jigsaw puzzle. My lyrics have hidden meanings. Those who have eyes will see what I am talking about. I am a recluse and a social butterfly. I am secretive and open. I am confident and insecure. I am a bitch and a nice person. My mission is to overcome all obstacles preventing me from realizing my potential. I try to help others do the same. We have the Light within us. So let’s all start shining! My life is meaningless unless I do what I was born to do. I will be around for a long time, so let the journey begin. In the end, it will all be worthwhile.

McCAIN AND PALIN ARE THE REAL TERRORISTS!!!

I'm a tranny, so McCain with his right-wing political agenda and his religious-based homophobia is the last person I would want to see as President of the United States. I also think that hi...

Everyone should have a stage they can play on.

I was just thinking, me wanting so badly to be on stage doing my thing is the same for everyone else. If you're a surgeon, your stage is the operating room. If you're a cook, your stage is the kitchen...

People ask me all the time why I am not performing and why my album isn't out yet. All I can say is that there is only one of me. I wish I had four or six arms like an Indian goddess, but I only ...
