About Me

"Believe in me or not. It doesn't matter. I know why I write songs and I know why I stand on stage every night and sing my heart out. Conviction is the feeling I have inside my heart that compells me to make people move, dance, love, cry and shout from the tops of tall buildings that we are fucked up, the world is crashing all around us but we are not afraid of living, and all we can do is laugh in the face of all our own misery. " - wiL of Aiden. I quite adore that man.
I don't think there is anything about me that is normal, and I love it that way. I'm crazy, dark, with a twisted sense of humor. I'm a geek, old school. LOL I'm always looking for a good challenge in life, and fun. Constant fun. :-D My motto - more laughter, less drama. :) I'm willing to try anything at least three times, though. My passions are creativity and music. Don't try to label me...I don't fit and you'll just confuse yourself. I'm a walking contradiction. It's *never* boring in my world. I'm currently in Tampa, pursuing a career in professonal makeup, and I love it. Pictures up now!!! Yes, pretty as well as gory. Would you expect less of me? ;-)

My Interests

Music, sci-fi, reading anything I can get my hands on, karaoke, and makeup. Just a few broad examples. I like knowing a little bit about everything.

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people. :) I collect evil people, as well. I have a pet theory that everyone is insane. You have to collect people around you whose insanity meshes with your own. Male, female...I don't care. Just remember my motto. ;) My favorite type of people are smart people who also happen to be a little smart-ass. Thus encompasses most of my friends, if not all. I'm also on the lookout for makeup jobs - fashion, basic, and special effects. I have my portfolio on request.

Out-take from a movie I've been working on since FUCKING 2004. It's hysterical, but, there is no way you can get this unless you were there. Maybe. LOL

The Matches - Salty Eyes AWESOME one-take video.

Music:

..

Almost anything, though I seem to be leaning towards things with edge, lately. The one thread that connects all my music is talent. As in, they have to have it. They have to be good musicians, not one trick ponies. And have something to say. Mostly, I listen to rock, but I like at least one artist in every genre. I love being introduced to new music. :) Currently at the top of the heap - My Chemical Romance (aka The Black Parade), Knowing Stu, Socialburn(RIP- I love you, but that sucks), Aiden, I Am Ghost, The Matches, The Higher, Suburban Tragedy, Soulfound, The Almost, HIM, The 69 Eyes, Apocalyptica, 30 Seconds to Mars, AFI, Avenged Sevenfold, The Eagles, Panic! at the Disco, The Used, Depeche Mode, Papa Roach, Kelly Clarkson, Fall Out Boy, Kill Hannah, Blue October, Michael Buble...

Movies:

So much. From horror (good stuff, now), to Disney, to Rocky Horror, to The Fifth Element. Vampire flicks are a favorite - Lost Boys, Blade trilogy, Queen of the Damned, etc. Nightmare before Christmas. Sweeney Todd. LOTR, naturally - the films that kicked my ass into gear about getting serious with the industry. Pretty much anything Johnny Depp has done, EVER(Shit, can we CLONE him?). RENT. Labyrinth. Serenity. Most of the Kevin Smith ouvre. Pirates of the Carribbean 1,2,3. Yeah, I'm just a little obsessed with those movies. I have a Pirate thing...

Television:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Star Trek(TNG, DS9, Voyager), WWE on occasion, CSI(Vegas and Miami), Forever Knight, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Salute Your Shorts, MacGyver, Farscape, Stargate(SG1 & Atlantis), Dexter, Good Eats, Miami Ink, Doctor Who, Drawn Together.

Books:

Favorites include everything Neil Gaiman has ever written, including the 'childrens' books, Anne Bishop, Laurell K. Hamilton, Kate Forsythe, Harry Potter series(shaddup, so I'm a geek LOL), Anne Rice. I also love to read about ancient history, and mythologies from around the world. I'll devour a psychology book in one session. I have been known to be a Shakespeare fiend, as well. Also, I highly recommend The Art of Seduction by Robert Greene. And don't dare and try and take my Kevyn Aucoin books away from me! Just finshed an interesting book by Michelle Belanger...

Heroes:

Kevyn Aucoin, Gerard Way, Frank Iero, Wil Francis, Shawn Harris, JESSE KAGE!!, anyone who's not afraid to do what they love and push boundaries. :-D
