Clockwork Rose is a one man band consisting of Abe James-Levine (aka Dante) and Garage Band, created in 2008. Dante uses only the basic sound editing software that comes with every Mac in the world to create a unique sound in the genre of techno and electronica. He strives only to create sounds that please his ear, and cares not that "other people could make the same music using Garage Band". Guess why? Because he did it first.
A lot of the remixes are done using MIDI files from the internet, yet arranged by Dante using garage band. He only takes credit for making them sound better, not actually making them (unless stated otherwise. eg "Feat. Dante on Sax"). No duh. Occasionally there will be loops used from looperman.com. The song "Looperman" is completely comprised of those.
Nik: where'd you come up with the name?? clockwork orange?? its a badass movie by the way....
Dante: No I didn't base it off of that actually. I wanted something visually stimulating, and the idea of a rose made of machinery, cogs, gears, and other metal parts, like an automaton of the botany world, really turned my artistic crank...
