I think we might take ourselves too serious. Framed ex-lovers is the brainchild of two people with not much on their minds, or maybe TOO much. The biography as written by Miss Guns: Ripping down pictures of the person you liked or loved is a horrible thing to do, it's one of the most definite signs that it's truly over. Not only do you tear apart a physical thing, you tear apart a legacy of memories. Alas, in today's world this isn't the easiest thing to do. Because somehow "they" keep turning up on the hard drives of our computers, as background on our too fancy cellphones and even on our ATM-cards. But why throw away those memories? Why not keep them close to the heart? Why can't we "frame" our ex-lovers? Even if it only was to remind us that we shouldn't go for a person like him/her ever again? That idea entered my mind when I lost my ATM-card for the third time this year and although the bank never moaned about giving me new ones, somehow they bullied me by delivering the same one over and over again. I despised the fact that the bank didn't give up on me and that I always retrieved the same personalized card. Sadly enough, with a picture of one of my ex's on it. After being infuriated over a memory that would never leave my mind, I gave up and tried to live with the fact that a loved one can never be forgotten even if it was the most horrible relationship ever. But where do we draw the line, how can we receive closure on those nasty things that drove lovers apart? Write songs about it. Get it out of your system. Eventually it will all fade away and you'll be able to live in peace and think back to those days with a smile on your face. That's where Framed Ex-Lovers's showcase begins. We're not into political songs, nor are we emo fags who cry about every broken heart we ever had. Throughout the forthcoming weeks and months we'll stand tall, make a clear point. We'll combine hatred with gory soppiness. We'll combine lovely melodies with witty, well-written and thought about lyrics. We will bring you a bittersweet mix of songs and secrets from our personal lives. For you to know. For you to find out. Watch out, for we have loads of stories to tell. We are Cleo and Harry. Our life-paths crossed somewhere in the past on a very weird way, so maybe this project was meant to be all along. Think about it. And do not get in our way, because you don't want to have your dignity destroyed in a song written by a chubby blonde girl with a voice that can be either sweet or cut right through your bones (on a good way though)(I sincerely hope that!) and her acquaintance aka talented guitarist. It's safe to say that everything inspires me. Bands going from Oasis to Gallows to Miles Davis and Richard Hell accompanied by literature, pulp and gossip. But also things I take out of my own, exciting and "difficult" way of life. Insiders will know what I am talking about, "outsiders" will find out eventually.Love, Cleo
