About Me

Born on Long Island, New York, I relocated at a young age to Orange County, California, which is where I spent the remainder of my upbringing. At the age of 18, I kissed the sunshine and palm trees goodbye and spent the following four years in the culturally shocking hippie-collegetown of Eugene, Oregon, which is where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Magazine journalism, while attending the University of Oregon. Following a unique, albeit rewarding college experience, I headed back to my OC roots for about six months, working for two magazines: "ABILITY" and "Autograph Collector," until I realized it was time to get out of "The OC" and move on to a bigger journalism/entertainment market.
In November '07, I packed my bags (and boxes) and moved to Los Angeles. I adapted to L.A. lifestyle almost immediately, frequenting hot Hollywood clubs and earning editorial gigs (and bylines) at some of the trendiest and most well-known magazines and companies in Hollywood/L.A., including 944 magazine (Hollywood lifestyle/fashion/entertainment publication), E! Online and Citysearch. Additionally, I am the sole designer and writer for my entertainment/fashion/lifestyle/LA blog "THE PLATINUM PEN," (http://www.ThePlatinumPen.tk) which was a year in the works of creation and is my biggest project of all time. I update the site close to daily and take great pride in its presentation.
My heart will forever be in New York, and I plan to move back there eventually and live the magazine dream in Manhattan, but for now I am enjoying living, working and playing in LA, and I am going to make it work for as long as I can.
