About Me

Spent 10 years in the Navy and have been back home for a little while. I'm finding Macon a very difficult place to fit in. I'm very open-minded and accepting. My babies come first in all things (they're the furry kind). I'm passionate about animals in general and can't stand to see any of them abused or neglected. I'm a vegetarian trying to go vegan. I don't especially like relationships and have absolutely no desire to get married. Anything else you'll have to find out later. :)

My Interests

I love animals and anything outdoors. I tend to be diversified to a fault, something has to be REALLY interesting to keep my attention. I get bored very easily. One day I may want to go camping and the next I may want to go spend a day watching movies. I don't have much time for it anymore but I also like to volunteer (at the local humane society, therapy dog groups, etc.).

I'd like to meet:

Open-minded and unique people. I'm not sure Middle Georgia has that type of person but I'm looking. :) I don't approve of hunting or fishing. I also don't tolerate prejudice or bigotry. I get really bored with labels and people that try to be just like everyone else.

Music:

Deep Forest, Enigma, Enya, Sneaker Pimps, Missy Elliott, Shakira, Moby, Beethoven, Basement Jaxx, Bjork, Sarah McLachlan, Peaches......I like a lot of different things. Never been too keen on death metal though.

Movies:

My new favorite movie is Happy Feet. I like all kinds of movies but really enjoy comedies and Lord of the Ring type movies.

Television:

I don't get to watch much TV but when I do I like Gray's Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, Sex and the City, Ellen and Queer Eye. I LOVE the L Word!

Books:

Be Nice or Else, Pay It Forward, Da Vinci Code

Heroes:

Ghandi (for his journey to self awareness and passion), Martha Stewart (because of her entrepeneurship), Oprah (come on, you gotta give it to her), and Ellen (she's such an inspiration), and anyone who helps in the rescue and care of needy animals.

I rode my bike 3.5-3.75 miles, swam 30 laps, and walked 1 mile this morning.  I feel pretty good. Talked to the guy about what building to use for my doggie daycare, I'm going to be using the Wil...

Procrastination

So, I started my research paper for this semester back in the 3rd or 4th week of school by choosing a topic.  I thought I was doing well by starting then.  But then, I didn't do anything els...

Who am I?

I was working through some journal stuff tonight and asked myself the question, "Who am I?"  I realized it's a lot harder to answer than most would think.  I immediately thought of the life ...
