Ed. Rock ' Funkiest Guitarist'

About Me

Ed.Rock Funkiest Guitarist was born in Brooklyn New York it was when his Mother Mary T. Williams and father James E. Williams wanted a better life for Ed and his three other sibblings. The family moved to Cambria Heights Queens where Ed in J.H.S. 192 learned how to play guitar in the 7th grade. It was in 8th grade where he met drummer Tim Mills who was amazed at the rhythm guitar skills of Ed at a very young age.The two of them got together and formed a band called Taste, but they needed a bassist. At the time Ed Knew drummer Robert Walker who had a band called power of souls. Robert wanted Ed to meet his little brother Jerry who at the time was playing guitar for power of souls. Jerry was very gifted at age 12 he was playing guitar and bass like a grown man.But Jerry was better on bass. But he wanted to play guitar. So one month Ed and Jerry met at a talent show Aud. at J.H.S.192 and they got along like brothers. Jerry wanted to play guitar but the 2 Tim and Ed talked Jerry into playing bass and the rest is history. This kid you all Know him today as Jerry Brooks A.K.A. the Brooks man. After taste the 2 Jerry Brooks and Tim Mills formed one of Queens most dangerous, funkiest, powerful bands in the tri state area called Doc Ice. and the 2 reunited with Ed.Rock funkiest guitarist. That Band the original and first Doc Ice was maneged by Mr. Micheal Clark Jerry's older brother, they had 5 horns and a funky smokin rhythm secton. That band went on to do some major and funky things even brought peace between two rival gangs. one night at a Andrew Jackson High School concert. That night Doc Ice tore the roof off the joint like everywhere else they performed. But after that concert the gangs the 7 crowns and savage skulls tore up jack n the box for those that remember. But after Doc Ice the Brooks man Jerry Brooks became who he is today one of the bad'asses around. So if anyone thinks they are or say they are one of the original Doc Ice members They are not one of the original Doc Ice members. Ed. Rock and Tim Mills Are both doing their own things. Ed.
