Rattlesnake-Live @ Tokyo May,2,2008
Originating out of Osaka Japan, Rattlesnake dominated the Japanese underground rock scene. Their intense live show blended styles of heavy rock, metal, and blues. Their orignal style seperated them from the "usual" rock bands which allowed them to sell out every club they played, even their very first show.
With such a strong following and their passionate and at times violent live showcases, it didnt take long for the band to gain attention from Birthday Records, one of the largest indie lables in the country. In 1990 came the release of their very first album Samurai Crash, which right after the album's release date, went straight to number one spot on the Oricon Indies chart, were the position was held for many weeks.
In 1991 the band seperated due to creative differences. Sixteen years later, vocalist Jr, bass player Katsumi, drummer Taku, and with the help of Satoshi "Jimmy" Hirose, guitarist from the legendary rock band 44 Magnum, went on a nation wide tour, which included stops in Osaka and Tokyo. Even with the long hiatus, the band sold out every show and to this day, maintains their legendary cult status. Rattlesnake rocks the house.
