About Me
Kierre Bjorn Lindsay is a stylish, young artist on the come up from Winston Salem, North Carolina. Now 19 years old and a sophmore music/business major at Winston Salem State University, Kierre is studying opera and classical musica composition. Kierre is a background vocalist for National recording artist Lejuene Thompson and a true praise and worshipper. He has also ministered behind artists such as KiKi Sheard, Deitrick Haddon, Blanche McCallister-Dykes, Pastor George Pass, Dj Rodgers, Judith Mcallister, Melonie Daniels, Johnathan Nelson and Vashawn Mitchell. Even knowing his calling, Kierre does not discriminate when it comes to music because he believes all of it is necessary and all music inspires his own melodies and writing. He began singing at the age of 5 and began writing at the age of 13. He loves R&B, jazz, country, pop, classical, and alternative. He is a member of Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church in Winston Salem, NC where Bishop Sheldon M. McCarter is the pastor. Kierre serves as worship leader for the Elisha college praise ministry, Radically Anointed Youth praise ministry, and he also serves as a leader for the adult praise ministry. He also serves on the Full Gospel International Young Adult Praise Team under presiding Bishop Paul S. Morton and Overseer William H. Murphy III. Kierre is a thesbian at the National Black Repatory company, founded by the late Larry Leon Hamlin. The National Black Repatory company is one of the oldest and most famous black theater companies in the country and it hosts the National Black Theater festival every two years. There, for the last 8 years, Kierre has held the role of the “little Shepard boy†in the hit musical, “Black Nativityâ€. He one day hopes to take his experience to the stages of Broadway. In April 2008, Kierre accompanied his vocal teacher/conductor, D’Walla Simmons Burke, and the Winston Salem State University Concert Choir in New York City as she made her debut at the historic Carnegie Hall. While in New York City, Mrs. Burke conducted the New England symphony and also became the first African American woman to conduct at Carnegie Hall. Kierre enjoys singing in foreign languages such as Italian, German, and French. After battling with God concerning his specific musical path, Kierre finally accepted the call on his life and he stepped up to the plate to carry out the mandate of Praise&worship that God has placed on his life. His worship flows freely and brings a sense of liberation.
Kierre makes it clear, “Many artist say that they are coming out of the box with they’re music and lyrics but, I want to even go beyond that! I want to step out of the box, deface the box, and then destroy the box completely! Kierre has many influences such as the Beatles, the BG‘s, Stevie Wonder, Michael McDonald, Black Eyed Peas, Cold Play, Jonas Brothers, Anthony Hamilton, Carl Thomas, Joe, Musiq Soulchild, Jill Scott, Smokie robinson, Maroon 5, rascal flatts, Deitrick Haddon, Fred Hammond, Smokie Norful, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Dewayne Woods, William Murphy, Judith McAllister, Israel Houghton, Richard Smallwood and one more favorite…Pj Morton . Currently, Kierre is in the process of writing and preparing to record his first gospel album. His prayer is that God continues to push him into his destiny, bringing him to unmarked territory, causing his path to collide with people who have similar desires. He believes, “If it is for you, you will get itâ€-Cicely Tyson
