About Me


Odien, which is taken its name from the songs sang in festivals in Ancient Greece, was formed in 2004 to perform 3 young musicians',Talya KANMAZ, Erman ERKILINÇ and Orçun SELÇUK- own musics as a Band. After a while, however ERKILINÇ left the band to join an other project, the remaining two members kept going on with their projects; unlike losing their hope, slowly they established their band's current characteristics and musical perception in further times.
In early times,the band started to define its own sound slowly, by isolating proggressive metal technics from its usual mechanics,doom metal sentiment from its stability and trying to blend,had started regular concert programs, which would last for months, with his incredible energy and also took place as headliner in several important organizations and with positive effects as a band they had started to occur its own fan group.
As time went by , some changes had happened in band and to gather a core team carrying its experience that it had received, Odien withdrew into its shell for a while but it found the oppourtunity to use the experience that it gained meanwhile, on new tunes.
Today, Odien is a promising band which is cherished with intimacy, influenced by various visual and auditory materials to setup its music understanding into a rich sound base aside from usual forms, tries to keep track on general inclination closely in the world.
