About Me

David Luckey was born in Hamden, CT on September 27, 1976 to Dennis and Sarah Luckey. He is the youngest of four children: Tina Luckey (Rowlett, TX), Lisa Brown and Lynae Mesteller (Rockwall, TX).Growing up in the home of a pastor and music minister, Minister Luckey was exposed at a very young age to the anointing of the Holy Ghost, and the power of praise & worship. He has been involved with church worship teams playing various instruments and singing since he was old enough to reach the pedals of a drum set. Being raised in that environment has cultivated the gifts of music & worship that God has placed in his heart.Minister Luckey is a graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute where he met and later married his wife Martica. Upon graduation he became eligible for a ministry license. He was licensed with Christ for the Nations in December of 2001 and became a member of the Fellowship of Ministers and Churches. His first full-time ministry assignment was music minister of Lakeshore Community Church (1999 – 2001, Rockwall, TX), Pastor Brad Howard. This ministry opportunity helped prepare him for his future assignments. Presently he serves as the Executive Assitant to Pastor Gary Oliver and the main Praise & Worship leader at Tabernacle of Praise where he began serving in November of 2001. He lives in Ft. Worth, Texas with his wife Martica and their son Miles.Minister Luckey is a gifted musician, songwriter, and recording artist. He has a heart for worship that is powerfully imparted through anointed praise and worship in combination with the preaching of the Word. While a student at Christ for the Nations Institute, he had the opportunity to be a part of many worship teams and participate in an annual worship recording. He was also blessed to serve Bro. Marco Barrientos, a powerful teacher and worship leader, over a three-year period (1999-2001). During that time he had the honor of ministering in over eleven different countries playing, singing, teaching and participating in seven praise & worship recordings. Minister Luckey released his first full-length praise and worship CD “Eternal Praise” in the summer of 2002.
