About Me

An accountant by day and a songwriter by heart, Mike Warehime was born to write songs for listeners across the globe. His lyrics of love lost and occasionally gained will make even the hardest of hearts remember some of the best times of their lives. Mike has proven that people all over Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Arkansas like what they have been hearing. Recently he has expanded this base of influence to a national level. Mike’s first radio debut has hit the airways of Shane Wilder’s “Best of Country” show, which is broadcast on over 78 stations nationally. “Bettin’ Man”, the first release climbed all the way to number 20 on Shane’s Best of Country charts this spring. Like most Oklahoma children that grow up on a farm, Mike Warehime learned most of his life lessons through hard work, sweat and determination. At age ten, Mike learned to play the guitar in order to spend more time with his favorite uncle and by the age of 20 his writing career reached full speed with well over 50 songs in his catalogue. As with most people in his generation, Mike grew up listening to a wide range of music including Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Lynard Skynard, Metallica and Guns N Roses. Today, Mike would list Merle Haggard as his biggest influence. While he obtained an Associate’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor’s in finance, Mike’s first love has always been music. At 28 years old, he has never given up the dream that started 18 years ago when he picked up his first guitar. In November 2003, Mike made a very important step in his music career. He was signed with Keaton Music Group in Nashville, TN as a songwriter. This step in his career has brought him the chance to have his songs pitched to various artists such as: George Strait, Clay Walker, Tracy Byrd, Trisha Yearwood, Mark Chesnutt, Buddy Jewel, as well as many other well established artists. The bands that he has been involved with include Double Shot, Tequila Sunrise, Broken Spurs, Timberline, Okie Island, One Card Left, and Lost Creek. For his demo, Mike has included five songs that he believes are a good representation of his original works written and performed by him. While he loves to write music, performing is just as much of a passion. He has played numerous venues around Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas and Missouri opening up for such names as Bob Childers, and most recently headlining such events as the Okmulgee Pecan Festival. When he’s off the road and not making music, Mike enjoys spending time with his family at home on the family farm in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
