..I returned to Jamaica after spending 22 years in Birmingham, England. I faced prejudice as a Rasta whilst staying at a hotel in Kingston. We were not well received and as vegetarians we ordered vegetable soup and to our surprise the chef removed the meat and served it to us. This was discoved as there were still meat remains within. A complaint was made to the waiter and the chef pleaded for us not to report this to management as he would loose his job. His excuse was he thought we meant that we didn't want any meat in the soup and that knows of Rastas who eat meat. At this point we realised that they must be Rasta's globally who are facing the same situation. Out of that I was inspired and Lewis-Francis Accommodations was established to host and cater for that market.
