Ms. Maestro - that's right, MISS is an independent producer out of North Carolina. Since age 14, it has been a dream to one day own a record label that represents more than just music. By this, a goal of being an ispiration not only to the youth, but to all females globally that have been told they can't do what their heart desires b/c, it's a "man thing". Everyday, women across the globe are breaking boundaries, becoming presidents, owning businesses, and historically making differences throughout the youth, for the better.
It was not at this age however, that music was intorduced into her life... since she could speak "goo-goo-ga-ga", music has always been in the family...not a day went by that there wasn't music playing. Armed with children-replicas of various intruments, Ms. Maestro developed a since of musicianship. However it was not until the age of 10, that she got her hands on her first real instrument, and shot fowrad. With her true love. Gracefully captivating her peers on her violin, for years, she felt there needed to be a change. Due the the lack of funding, there was a limited number (in actuality ONE) class per semster for orchestra, which seemed to be getting smaller. As a result, the difficulty and skill level of music pieces decreased, to suit the small class which was a mixture of 9th-12th graders, which hindered the progression of all the students as a musican.
Never one to give up, and always eager for new acquaintences, she decided at the last minute, that she wanted to be in the band for her sophmore year, The accredited MMM - Magnificent Marching Machine, from E.E. Smith Senior High School. Within one month, she sat in a room by herself with a beginner's book and taught herself how to play the trumpet. She did so well, that even the upperclassmen who would sit in the class and laugh at her told her how well and far she had come from day 1. The intructor, Roosevelt Pratt Jr., then put her on baritone, and she blew them out of the water. Next came the composition of current-radio hits into arrangements for the band. Then another. Then another. Had it not been for this experience, she may have never realized her true passion for music - creativity. The freedom, the power, to start with nothing, make it something, and make it her own. To have the will to want to explore and introduce her heart, her soul, her and ambition, and use it to bring uniqueness to all eager and critical ears, and to never lose sight of them is what it is all about... and here before you is me... Ms. Maestro.
