I recall memories full of laughter and of tears.
Thoughts of then compared to now.
The should of, could of, would of, and how.
I thank the Lord I'm still here on earth.
Considering all I've done since my birth.
At times I find myself trying to relive my high school days.
Although I must admit most were short lived and full of haze.
Growing up now, time to face my fears.
Time to take what I let evade me for oh so many years.
Lets not forget about the highs and lows.
Its how you deal with them, that determines how it goes.
The times of heartache or filling blue.
When you have to push, pull, and struggle just to get through.
The senses of utopia, soaring with the eagles through the sky.
These thoughts we cling to, sometimes just to get by.
Life is what you make it, be sure to learn from your mistakes.
Take time to smell the roses, slow down hit the brakes.
