ALL CARTEL GIGS CANCELLED.
Only after 3 live gig events at Cartel, 580 St Kilda Rd, we have already cancelled the venue permanently. The Venue took the liberty of canceling bands live gigs 2 or 4 songs into their performance and literally kicking them off stage.
Thursday 12th June, one band got their full set in, the second band got 2 songs iin, the third and forth bands were not even allowed to play.
Sunday June 15 saw, the first band complete their set, the second band wouldnt even turn up due to what happened on the 12th and the third band got in four songs before they were kicked off stage by one of the venue owners.
A lot of lies from the venue, as the agreement was, we could book bands, but not heavy ones, and all late headline sets were to be given to solo acoustics only.
The venue told meyself, that they had done this to the bands as there was not enough people and was to loud, but then took the liberty of telling the bands that they had kicked them off because I had gone against agreement and booked bands instead of soloists ONLY.
Considering these bands were on at 4pm and no sound restrictions at this time it was a pretty stupid thing for the venue to do, and obviously not to worried about building up the event or supporting out local top talent.

We remain honest and supportive of our local acts. To get them moving and doing well is a priority and we cannot work with venues that do as above stated.
