Breaking the Barriers between the European and North American electronic music scenes. EBM radio show originated 9 1/2 years ago in the spring of 1997 with creators Sophia and DJ EBM Bert.
Our mandate is to bring up and coming underground electronic music in the scenes of Industrial, EBM, Darkwave, Gothic, IDM and more...Presenting cutting edge interviews (both live and recorded), guests, and new release features....
EBM presents the scene like no other radio show before.
With a precedented 150 interviews to date we still break the barriers presenting music otherwise not available in North America by conventional means (distritbution, sales, promotion).
The EBM radio show has enjoyed a 9 1/2 year broadcast with campus/community radio station CIUT 89.5FM and we would like to thank all the supporters and listeners that made the 91/2 years memorable and a decade we will not forget. We both now move on to other diverse interests in the music scene. EBM Bert still enjoys radio broadcasting in his hometown of Halle Saale, Germany and I engage in spontaneous efforts in the music scene when I have the chance.
EBM also has a parent companion, EBM promotions whose mandate is similar....Together with EBM radio show we present artists to the Toronto scene who would otherwise have little oppurtunity for promotions and exposure in our Great City!
