I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I play the trumpet in a jazz band full of my old high school hommies. I also try to play the piano, drums, and ukulele, with various degrees of proficiency.I like to cook new things (iron chef style) but I end up being the only one to eat whatever I whip up. Most of it ends up getting pushed to the back of the fridge, until it's either thrown away, or spawns little children.I don't have any pets but I like animals, especially short fat ones. They're just more comical. I wanna get a dog, and train it to sit on a bench, next to me, and just look bored. Maybe I can stick some old man glasses on it, just to add a little flare. I'm thinking that it won't take a lot of training to get the dog to accomplish this feat. I just need to find a super lazy dog or maybe just get a really old one.I'm taking classes in figure drawing and sculpture. Which pretty much means that I'll be spending a total of 9-12 hours a week, staring at, drawing and sculpting naked ass people. Art rocks.

My Interests

I like ukuleles, Lomography, YouTube, short pudgy dogs, stupid songs, looking at catalogues (all kinds), ugly sneakers, little toys (to clutter by bookshelves with), trumpets, animation, comics, apples and old episodes of The Cosby Show.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet the Trix rabbit so that I can finally give him some flippin' cereal. Those stingy ass kids never show him any love. Trix isn't even that good anyway. It's all aboot the Cap'nCrunch bitches!

Music:

Some of my favorite bands/composers/musicians are: Reel Big Fish, Bare Naked Ladies, Arturo Sandoval, Boyz II Men, Maynard Ferguson, Ben Folds, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, Weezer, Stan Kenton, Daniel Barry, 'N Sync, Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder and Thad Jones.

Movies:

My all time favorite movies are: The Mighty Ducks, Ghost Busters, Hook, The Goonies, The Sandlot, My Neighbor Totoro, Amelie, The Red Violin and Disney's Aladdin. Most of them are kid's movies but I don't care. haha

Television:

Smallville, BBC America, The Cosby Show, The Office (both versions) and Current TV.

Books:

Some of my favorites are: Pattern Recognition by William Gibson (the main characters use mac's...MAC'S!) Wind and the Willows by Kenneth Grahame (helps me feel like a kid again(doesn't take much to do that though)), Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud (validates that my love for comics, isn't just a waste of time) and The Gas We Pass: The Story of Farts by Shinta Cho (no need to explain).

My Blog

Peter's Metro Bus Dad and Other Cool People

Peter's latest blog made me think about my "Weird & Cool People of My Town" notebook. I've been documenting all the interesting people I see around town since high school. I don't try to meet them or ...

A Poem

"Bum Fart" by El Predo I was walking down the street, eating a cup of macaroni. You walk past, then you pass gas. It smells like ass, and fried baloney.

Old slang you still use or wanna revive.

Grip or Grippa Very many, a large number; also, very much. "Man, your dog is always rollin' with a grippa bitches." "I know G, he's a pure breed pimp dog. So you know he costed me grip."

Bitches Ain't S**t - Ben Folds

Ben Folds' cover of Dr.Dre's "Bitches Ain't Shit" is one of the best songs I've heard in a while. My life will never be the same.
