Young Coleone AKA Da Don start his own label in May of 2008 The first artist of the label is Young Coleone.
Coleone was born in the hood (B-U Burton, SC). He quickly adapted to street life. At the age of 18 Coleone was facing 15yrs in South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) for gun charges and numerous other felonies. By the grace of God, he did not have to server that much time.
After his release, Coleone moved to Atlanta, GA. Not only, is he street smart, he also have book smarts. While on probation Coleone when to college to learn how to run a successful business. He now have a BS Degree in Business. Coleone sold drugs and hustled his way through college. We asked him, how did a nigga from the streets or da hood finished college? He simply replied, College had some bad bitches that made him stay on top of his game.
His Style of Music
Coleone describes his music as Gangsta! We asked Coleone why does he make Gansta music? He replied , I'm from da hood! While other artist in Atlanta like to make dance music,I wanted to go a different route. Nigga on da block or nigga hustlin or nigga going though the struggle do not want to listen to that dance shit (No offensive to nigga that do make dance music). I simply make my music for the HOOD!!!!!!!.
The Type of Artist I Want to Sign:
The first thing I tell an artist when I meet him or her, is to be you (B-U), not someone who is hot right now, but be yourself. I hate Artists that lies in their songs because they think it is going to sell!
Well I'm looking for artists that know how to hustle. One who can go to clubs or be on the streets, selling there CD. I feel if you don't love you music enough to hustle it, then you are not worth listening to.
