Avec pour maîtres mots, l’authenticité et la simplicité.Bercée toute petite dans la musique, grâce à des parents fans de jazz, de soul, de blues et de musique country et à un papa musicien à ses heures perdues (cuivres, batterie), Lee se passionne immédiatement pour la danse et la musique. Bien qu’elle choisisse dans un premier de s’exprimer à travers la danse en entrant en sport études, Lee se consacre de plus en plus à la chanson et intègre les Blair Brothers à seize ans. Ainsi, elle accompagnera le groupe de country dans les bars et restaurants de la région nantaise pendant plusieurs années. En 2000, coup de pouce du destin, elle rencontre le footballeur Pascal Olmeta qui lui conseille de faire des maquettes et l’invite à chanter à l’occasion de son jubilé au Stade Vélodrome! Cette expérience passée, Lee décide de se donner les moyens de réussir et essaie alors d’envoyer ses maquettes et de contacter des professionnels. Quelques mois plus tard, Evelyne Adam, présentatrice de La Compil’ sur France Bleu s’intéresse à son tour à sa voix et la contacte. Invitée à passer en radio en live en mai 2006, Lee cherche des auteurs compositeurs dont l’univers puisse s’accorder avec ses envies. Grâce au musicien qui l’accompagne à la radio, elle rencontre quelques jours avant l’émission Sonny Diamond, un auteur compositeur interprète de talent. L’entente est instantanée et la collaboration commence. Sonny Diamond lui écrit une chanson pour l’émission (« Here’s a Flower ») puis un album, et Lee, à son tour, participe en tant que choriste à celui que Sonny enregistre, intitulé « The Magician ». En juillet 2006, Pascal Olmeta les invite à chanter en première partie de Canta U Populu Corsu, à l’occasion du Pro Beach Soccer qu’il organise pour les enfants avec son association « Un Sourire un Espoir pour la Vie ». En février 2007, Evelyne Adam reçoit Lee et Sonny dans son émission et les invite à chanter dans la salle qu’elle programme: l’Archipel, à Paris. Le duo, fera également quelques concerts durant l’été…Comme à la paillote « Olmeta Beach » à Porticcio en Corse!Depuis, Lee et Sonny Diamond n’ont cessé de travailler sur un projet d’album en commun. D’un côté, Sonny, d’origine caribéenne, fou de reggae entre autre, qui écrit des poésies mises en musique qui fleure bon le soleil. De l’autre, Lee, qui pose sa voix doucement teintée de country sur les balades de Sonny. Leurs univers se mélangent, l’envie de partager et l’amour de la musique les réunit sur des balades folk et authentiques. The keywords in her music are simplicity and authenticity. Thanks to her parents who enjoy soul, country music, jazz, and blues, and to her dad who plays drums and brass instruments during his spare time, Lee has loved music since her childhood and has immediately been fascinated by both music and dance. Even though she first decided to express herself through dance and thus integrated a school to study this art, Lee soon became increasingly interested in music and finally joined the Blair Brothers at the age of sixteen. For a few years, she accompanied the country music band during their performances in pubs and restaurants in the West of France. In 2000, destiny helped her move in the right direction: she met Pascal Olmeta, a famous French footballer, who advised her to make demos and offered her to sing for his jubilee in the “Velodrome” Stadium in Marseille! After that experience, Lee decided to do everything she could to succeed and sent tapes to people working in the music industry. In 2006, Evelyne Adam, a journalist from a national radio, France Bleu, took an interest in her and invited her to sing in her program entitled La Compil’. A few days before the program was broadcast, Lee tried to get in touch with songwriters whose universe could reflect hers. Thanks to the guitar player who accompanied her at the radio, she met Sonny Diamond, a talented songwriter and singer. Lee and Sonny instantly got along and began to work together. Sonny Diamond wrote her a first song for the radio program (“Here’s a Flower”) and eventually an entire album. In return, Lee participated as back vocals to “The Magician”, the LP Sonny was releasing. In July 2006, Pascal Olmeta invited them to sing as the guests of Canta U Populu Corsu, during the concert of the Pro Beach Soccer, organised with his association to benefit children, “Un Sourire, un Espoir, pour la Vie”. In February 2007, Evelyne invited Lee and Sonny a second time and offered them to sing in the venue she manages, L’archipel, in Paris. The duet has been continuing its gigs since then, for example in the beach restaurant, la paillote “Olmeta Beach” in Porticcio, Corsica.Lee and Sonny are currently looking for a producer or a label and keep working on an album. Sonny loves all kind of music, especially reggae, and writes poems that eventually become songs in which his Caribbean origins are undeniable. Lee puts her soft country music voice on Sonny’s ballads. Their musical worlds meet and their will to share the music they love brings them together on authentic folk ballads. Then, the emotions and guitar music can happen... ..
