Kid Mud

About Me

I have been playing and writing music for quite a while. This is just stuff I write and record on my own. I have some of my friends help out on the recordings when they are around. It's all done out of my house either on some shitty old 4 track a digital 8 or Garageband with one mic. When I do play shows it is mainly by myself or with my sister. I have had a handful of bands including Fiver, American Holidays, and Duncan Booth. I've opened for Calvin Johnson, Death Cab For Cutie, Frank Black from the Pixies, Grandaddy, Imperial Teen, Kaito, Earlimart, Mates of State, Creeper Lagoon, Rademacher, Radar Bros, El Olio Wolof, Space Mtn, and Solar Powered People. "Birds will move in" Ep out now
Kid Mud's debut showcases a remarkably full sound for a predominantly solo effort. "1401 South Grand Street" and "Press It Out" are two fine examples of his marrying of acoustic songwriting with electro flourishes. God bless the ears over at New and Used Records for finally noticing Kid Mud's talent. - Ricky Dalmation EP Available at ITUNES

Sounds Like:

"kid mud is, more or less, part of the one man band movement (further e.g.: final fantasy; st. vincent, etc.), which means that duncan writes and plays each part of the song himself, then layers it together into a cohesive whole. computers not only enable production, but also add density to the live instrumentation, and the effect is something rich and satisfying." -Scott, Anyone's Guess
