Make your own banner at MyBannerMaker.com!Hello everyone. My name is Shelby and I am the creator of the "Save Our Oceans Now" Project. I am a student studying psychology, environmenal science, and marine studies. I am in the process of doing some big things where I live (Miami Beach) and am looking to network with other who are environmentally aware.
I am in the process of setting up a local clean up day that will hopefully develop into a weekly day in which people hit the beaches to clean and educate others on the importance to not leave trash behind. If you are interested in this or would like to collaborate on another idea please message me. I am always looking and willing to get into other aspects of the field and take advantage of opportunities. If you know of an organization that is looking for employees, volunteers, interns or help please let me know. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY CHANGE.ORG SITE AT WWW.CHANGE.ORG/SAVEROCEANS (FREE LOLITA FUND)A large portion of my time goes out to Lolita, a captive orca at the Miami Seaquarium (Seaprison). I am having protests at the Seaquarium that should become bi-weekly in October. For more information on how you can help Lolita retire to her native waters please contact me. She needs all the help she can get, and I fully intend to start a revolution for her!
I have a mailing list that I am trying to lift off of the ground, and I am asking that anyone interested in local Florida environment issues and meet-ups join the list; as well as national issues. So please, even if you aren't local, we encourage you to join.
