Derrick and his band Rude Mood just recently formed. Derrick was born in Seguin, Tx and was given his first guitar when he was six. He moved to Austin around eight years ago to persue his dream of being a successfull musician. Thanks to the help of Mike Milligan and the Altar Boys, Tammy Miranda Music Productions, and some other good friends helping him to get his feet wet, that dream is becoming a reality. Now he and his band have relocated just south of San Antonio and are traveling all around Texas doin what they love. His little brother Mark got his first guitar at the age of eight and is right behind him. Backing him all the way. Born in San Antonio, Tx he to has been sharing the same dream as his brother. They are both good guitar players, but when they are together they are "electric". Now Mark has moved to the Bass and is holdin it down. The brothers have currently hooked up with Randell aka "BAM BAM". A very good drummer from Converse,Tx who has been drumming for over 15 years and has loved every minute of it!. He has played with various bands in San Antonio City events -Taste of San Antonio, Rock n Roll Marathon, Market Square Events, Tower of the Americas, Bikers Against Child Abuse events, Guardians of the Children events and a few bars. He has played in Austin at the ROT Rally, Red Eyed Fly, Stubbs BBQ and a few other clubs. And in Converse at Night in Ole Converse, in Gonzales at the Come And Take It celebration, on church praise teams, benefits for various causes and with local musicians wanting to get together for spontaneous jams. Together they make a very good Texas Blues Trio who are currently writting some original material but also likes to branch off into funky little numbers like "Bullets" by Bob Schnieder and smoke the room with some rockin blues such as "Drivin' South" by Hendrix!
