I really like music (in case you haven't guessed) and play the piano seriously as well as dabbling in some other instruments for fun. I'm currently studying for a Ba(hons) in music composition at Coventry University. I'm learning to speak Russian because I'm interested in the countries past. I want to be a composer, and write meaningful music. I'm taking a Manga class in Coventry. The most important people in my life are my friends.
This is my Bio:
James William Purvis started teaching himself the piano late in his fourteenth year. When beginning professional lessons, he was immediately promoted to his grade three performance studies, which he passed with honours. He then went on to pass his grade five performance studies, and later his grade five theory studies, an examination in which he obtained 93% During this time he was at NEW college, Swindon studying Psychology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology, but prompted by a disillusionment with scientific methods, he began to prepare for an A.S. Level in Music and a possible change of direction. He also joined the NEW College choir, singing at Salisbury Cathedral as well as Notre Dame de Paris in March 2006. James garnered a place at Coventry University based on the strength of his compositional portfolio. He passed his music A.S. level, achieveing 98% in one of the module examinations required for the qualification. James is currently studying at Coventry University and hopes to complete his degree of Bachelor of Arts (hons) in Music Composition in 2008.
